Frequently asked questions
Are my files really not uploaded?
Correct, and you can check it in about thirty seconds. Open developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and convert something — no request carries your file. The site also sends a Content-Security-Policy that limits network connections to its own origin, and your browser enforces that regardless of what our code does.
Why is there no file size limit or hourly quota?
Those limits exist to control server costs. Nothing is processed on our servers, so there is no cost to control and nothing to ration.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no watermark on anything you produce here.
Which tools need a connection?
Two: finding your public IP address and measuring your connection speed. Both are impossible to answer locally, so they carry a different badge and explain exactly what is sent.
Does the site work offline?
After your first visit, yes. The page and the decoders are cached by your browser, so you can disconnect and keep converting — which is also the simplest proof that no server is involved.
